As a presidential candidate, Joe Biden rejected calls from other Democrats to join them in backing a single-payer, government-run health care system, instead saying his plan was to expand and improve the Affordable Care Act.
Please join the Institute for Policy Innovation and the Galen Institute for a special Zoom policy event featuring expert panelists who will explain what is wrong with the ACA and what President Biden is now proposing to "fix" it—including spending vastly more money on the program, creating a public option (i.e., another government-run health plan), and imposing price controls.
Two of the country's leading health policy experts, the Galen Institute's Brian Blase and Doug Badger, will explore these issues. They will explain why President Biden’s proposals—including a plan to lower the eligibility age for Medicare—are the wrong policies. They will explain other solutions that would actually increase access to quality, affordable health coverage. The discussion will be moderated by Grace-Marie Turner of the Galen Institute and Merrill Matthews of the Institute for Policy Innovation.
Please join us for this free Zoom policy discussion about President Biden's effort to save and expand Obamacare.
