This paper suggests several new policies designed to create a reasonable, secure, functioning immigration system that is in the best interests of the United States. It further suggests a specific approach to dealing humanely and realistically with the current illegal population.

Many libertarians believe people should be allowed to immigrate whenever and wherever they choose, but that argument disregards the importance of property rights.  

Gee, so presidents have to follow the Constitution and work with Congress? They can’t just sit in the Oval Office and sign executive orders? Who knew?

The American people are blaming other countries and other people for a slow-growth wound that is self-inflicted.

Of all the controversial elements of proposed immigration reform plans, the H-1B visa impasse should be the easiest to solve. 

We are going to have to forget that old maxim that “crime doesn’t pay,” because in Obama’s redistribution economy crime (i.e., entering the country illegally) pays handsomely.

Arizona has become the first state in the country to require high school students to pass the basic civics test given to immigrants applying to become U.S. citizens. Students will have to correctly answer 60 of the test’s 100 questions. Can they do it? Can you?

How about a market mechanism that would determine once and for all not only who is right, but that would determine what the market-clearing price for skilled immigrant labor actually is, informing future immigration policy formation?
