DALLAS, TX: The Institute for Policy Innovation (IPI), a twenty-five year old free-market public policy think tank, is pleased to announce that Mr. Marv Bramlett was recently elected Chairman of IPI's Board of Directors.
Mr. Bramlett takes the reins from Dr. Michael E. Williams, who has been Chairman of IPI since 1995. IPI is grateful that Dr. Williams will remain a member of the Board of Directors.
IPI President Tom Giovanetti welcomed Mr. Bramlett as Chairman, saying "We’re delighted that Marv has agreed to become Chairman of IPI's board as we go forward during our exciting twenty-fifth anniversary year. Marv has a breadth of experience and an enthusiasm for IPI’s work that will be of tremendous benefit to us as we go forward to meet the substantial challenges ahead. It’s never been more important for America that groups like IPI do an effective job of persuading the American people of the superiority of markets and of the danger of succumbing to dependence on Big Government. I’m looking forward to working with Marv to take IPI to the next level."
Mr. Bramlett welcomed the new opportunity with IPI. "I am honored to serve as the Chairman of IPI. Never before in our country's history has it been so important to promote the goals that IPI advocates: limited government, free markets and individual liberty. I want to thank IPI President Tom Giovanetti and the IPI Board of Directors for this wonderful opportunity, and with IPI’s message and continuing influence, I believe we will soon witness a more free, vibrant and robust America."
Marv D. Bramlett holds an Executive MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas and completed an International Residency at The Grenoble Graduate School of Business in Paris, France. He earned an undergraduate degree in Communication from Lee University.
Marv began his professional career at Electronic Data Systems (EDS, now Hewlett-Packard). After almost a decade at EDS, he helped launch an Internet startup company. Marv's professional experience includes sourcing privately held business opportunities for a Texas-based private equity firm. Today, Marv serves as President and CEO of Elephant Talk, Inc., a group structured to assure conservative values will reach and influence the Millennial Generation (18 to 35 year olds). In addition to his service to IPI, Marv is also on the Advisory Board of Brighter Dallas.
Marv and wife Sabina, an attorney, are both active volunteers in the Dallas area and their local community, including participation in the mentoring program for at-risk students in their daughters' school.
