IPI's Fourth Annual Communications Summit, "Creating the Future"  was held in Washington, DC February 29, 2011.

On July 26, 2011 over 70 industry experts, policy analysts, Hill staff and members of the media joined IPI on Capitol Hill to examine the explosion of new and innovative ways wireless connectivity is changing the face of health care and the spectrum challenges that could kill real health care reform in its tracks.

On May 16, IPI celebrated World Trade Week with a special briefing examining global trade issues, including multilateral trade partnerships such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), pending free trade agreements (FTAs), the impact of trade on U.S. job creation, and trade negotiation challenges regarding intellectual property, data flows, and IT services.

Over one hundred creators, policy makers, industry insiders, embassy representatives, and members of the press packed the room for IPI’s 6th annual World Intellectual Property Day event on April 26, 2011 to learn the latest on what is being done to protect the spark of innovation both domestically and abroad, as well as the current threats to innovation.
