Immigrants coming to the United States are getting a free hand from the Obama Administration. And more of a free hand than you even realize.

The time for a litmus test has come, said Merrill Matthews, resident scholar at the Institute for Policy Innovation in Dallas. “Republicans tend to say they won’t impose a litmus test, but it’s probably time to change,” he said.

Dr. Merrill Matthews in a recent article in Forbes describes a plan proposed by Bill Brann that adds a life insurance policy with a critical illness component. It would include an accelerated benefit provision that would allow the insurer to write the beneficiary a check to cover medical expenses.

"Don't bother with the myRA," said Giovanetti. "The myRA is touted as a safe, easy, affordable savings plan for workers -- it invests in only U.S. Treasury securities. The website brags about how there are no fees and no complications for employers, and that it's a Roth IRA."

If Donald Trump were successful, multinationals like Apple, Google, they wouldn't have to try to use the tax system to hide their profits in other countries, IPI's Merrill Matthews tells The Street's Emily Stewart.

"His tax plan is one of the most dynamic and pro-growth tax plans out there," said Merrill Matthews, IPI resident scholar. "You would find a huge amount of new business investment and companies willing to put their money out there to begin growing the economy."

In Texas, more fracking ban battles are likely ahead with a state v. local control companion issue a new part of the mix. Denton’s fracking battle is, for now, resolved, but a larger ideological storm is undoubtedly looming.

Trump may be stuck with one reform idea that could very well be a nonstarter.
