On WBAP’s Chris Salcedo Show, IPI president Tom Giovanetti gives an overview of the major candidates’ tax plans. While Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton’s plans would both halt economic growth and discourage investment, nearly all the Republican candidates have proposed robust tax cut proposals that would support growth. But regarding Trump’s tax plan, Giovanetti admits, “As painful as it for me to say it, it is too big and too aggressive of a tax cut. It’s an outlier. There is no way to ‘pay for’ a tax cut that size—even if dramatic reform of the entitlement system were to happen.” Audio begins here at 14:06.
