In new video, IPI president Tom Giovanetti joins Patrick Hedger of FreedomWorks to discuss how Senate Democrats are attempting to misuse the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to re-impose Title II regulations on internet service providers (ISPs).
In the video, Giovanetti warns that although the approach will likely fail and even backfire, it shows proponents’ determination to put the federal government back in charge of micromanaging the Internet.
Be sure to check out Giovanetti’s new publication on this topic, “Misusing the Congressional Review Act to Re-Regulate the Internet,” in which he explains the intent of the CRA is to overturn “new” regulations, not to restore them.
