I know you think I'm exaggerating about
the extremism of these IP skeptics.
Well, check this out. Here is the blog of a guy who is apparently an intern with the Free Software Foundation. I know he's been with me at all of the WIPO development agenda meetings, and we've had an interesting conversation or two.
Well, this is how he sees the world:
"World to suffer at hands of obstinate U.S. delegates"
"Enemies of development force IIM deadlock"
Really temperate rhetoric, Karsten. If this is what the Free Software Foundation has taught you during your internship, they've done you no favors.

Oh, I see. The whole world is going to suffer because of strong IP protection, because, you see, the prime thing that is keeping people poor and ignorant in the world is the intellectual property of U.S. corporations.
"Enemies of development force IIM deadlock"
So if you're not in favor of how socialist Brazil, economic failure Argentina, and Iran and North Korea want to change WIPO, you're an "enemy of development."
Really temperate rhetoric, Karsten. If this is what the Free Software Foundation has taught you during your internship, they've done you no favors.
