Price discrimination is related to IP protection. Many of the int'l IP fights we're having right now are because of things like Brazil refusing to pay a price appropriate for the Brazil economy, instead demanding to pay only the lowest price that that drug sells for anywhere in the world.

Update: LV has discovered price discrimination. Hint to LV: Even a Big Mac sells for different prices in different neighborhoods. That's price discrimination. And the biggest beneficiaries of price discrimination are low incomers. If a commodity were for some arbitrary reason only allowed to be sold for a uniform price, the lowest income groups would pay more, and in some cases would be cut off from access.
