It's been announced that the next round of Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations will be held in San Diego July 2-10, 2012.
Because of our interest in trade policy and in intellectual property protection, IPI has been engaged as a resource to negotiators in several of the negotiation rounds. We delivered a presentation on the importance of intellectual property protection during the Chicago negotiation round (Powerpoint here), and when negotiations came to our hometown Dallas last month, IPI engaged there with negotiators from around the world.
We'll be in San Diego as well, making sure that the case for liberalized trade and IP protection is represented there.
